Thanksgiving time is a time we think of gratitude. Some of us practice writing down that for which we feel grateful. This can help turn our attention toward more positive ways of being. Those that have practiced the fine art of “Gratitude Thinking” know that the act of daily practice changes one’s view of life. A more positive view of life likely leads to a more positive life. When we think of gratitude, we naturally think of being grateful for that which we have already received. However, did you know that you can practice gratitude in future tense? Picture what you want life to be like. Choose something healthy and life affirming. Be specific. What would you do differently? How would you dress? Who would your friends be? What would you eat? The questions are endless. Every day be committed to how you would feel if this were indeed your life. Part of that feeling would be gratitude. Live that feeling every day. I invite you to be grateful for answered prayers, even if you can’t see the answer yet. Let’s Produce Peace from Your Pieces. Lucretia McKnabb
